This page is dedicated to Shakespeare's play called Twelfth Night. Above is a picture of some of the main characters. Olivia, Sebastian, Viola, and Orsino. This play is about how Viola is washed up onto the shores of Illyria and believes that her twin brother (Sebastian) is dead so she decides to cut her hair and dress like him in order to find work with Orsino. Orsino is pinning after Lady Olivia but she too is mourning the loss of her brother and refuses to talk to anyone let alone accept any proposals for marriage.Viola (Cesario) starts to work for Orsino and he has Cesario call on the fair Olivia to persuade her to consider Orsino's marriage proposal. In the process Olivia starts to fall in love with Cesario (who is really Viola) while Viola starts to fall for Orsino. Both relationships are hard to pursue as Cesario is really Viola dressed as a man. Meanwhile Sebastian is really alive and has made friends with Antonio, goes to Orsino's house even though Antonio and Orsino are enemies. on the way Sebastian crosses paths with Olivia, who mistakens him for Cesario and asks him to marry her, which he agrees to do. later on Cesario and Orsino arrive at Olivia's house and Olivia calls out to Cesario who she thinks is her new husband. Orsino is furious but then Sebastion appears and the siblings reunite and everything gets cleared up. Orsino ends up with Viola and Sebastion is with Olivia.
A modern day version of Twelfth Night is She's the Man. Amanda Bynes plays Viola who dresses up as her brother to go to his school to play on the boy's soccer team and falls for her roommate Duke Orsino but he likes her lab partner Olivia and Oliva likes Viola (who is dressed like her brother Sebastian)
